[Original text removed. This post was an alert to those in my professional network to be extra vigilant following a crime that affected me and my family. The alert did its job, but the press has since used it and embellished it liberally in a way that is as invasive to my privacy as the original crime was. Thank you for your kind wishes.]

I'm deeply sorry this happened to your family. Targeting crypto founders has become alarmingly coordinated. At RAI AI, we monitor dark web forums where attackers share tactics using public data. Operational security deserves the same priority as technical defenses now.

That’s a strong message for those urging founders to be doxxed to legitimize what they're building, as well as for those who prefer to stay out of the spotlight for security reasons. The belief that crypto is untraceable may be one of the culprits. May God keep you and your family safe, sound, and healthy.

This is terrifying, glad you're okay. Are there specific privacy steps you'd recommend now to help others stay off these lists?

That’s wild. I was robbed at gun point at a gas pump in Atlanta a few years ago — life freezes after experience like that. I’ve heard of several incidents like this where people are kidnapped for crypto. Some of them make the headlines but most don’t. Sending love & healing light to your family!

Terrifying. I'm so glad you and your family are ok. Were you in the Coinbase breach where home addresses and wallet balances were accessed?

This is tragic OVLS, I am so sorry for you and your family. I have my family on the south coast and travel in to town for their wellbeing and safety but even the coast is getting out of control. Progress is not always in the right direction and in a world where people with vision and success are not alway supported I hope you carry on and drive your ambition. All the best.

This is awful to hear. I'm glad you and your family are all okay. Take care and ensure you take the time you need to recover. Note any changes in how you respond to things and please get follow-up support. The emotional toll of things like this can't be ignored.

Incredible how most of Northern Europe is now effectively a third world region. Insane.

Is this the most important professional skill this century?
