Thieves use truck to smash into business & steal ATM, police say

Memphis police released video of thieves who used a truck to smash the front doors of a gas station convenience store and haul away an ATM.

The theft happened Sunday at the Mobil Gas Station on Macon Road near Sycamore View.

MPD said officers were dispatched to an alarm call at the business. When they got to the location, officers saw that the front doors were smashed and the bitcoin ATM had been taken.

Surveillance video shows two people watching as a grey 2004-2008 Ford F-150 backs into the store's front doors. One suspect goes into the business while another lowers the truck's tailgate. A third suspect gets out of the truck, and all three can be seen carrying the ATM out of the store and putting it in the truck bed.

Investigators need your help in identifying the individuals responsible.

Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH.
