Lagos Police Arrest Lady, Brother For Robbing Boyfriend Of N15m Bitcoins, iPhones
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman, Emmanuella Ogochukwu, for allegedly conspiring with her younger brother and his accomplices to rob her boyfriend of three iPhones and bitcoins worth N15m

According to a police report seen by THE WHISTLER on Saturday, the case, initially handled by the Okota Police Division, was transferred to a specialised unit for further investigation on February 17.

The complainant, whose name was not disclosed, accused his girlfriend, Ogochukwu, of orchestrating the robbery in collaboration with her brother, Ogbuka Tochukwu, and other yet-to-be-identified suspects.

Following Ogochukwu’s arrest and subsequent confession, operatives of the Lagos State Police Command tracked and apprehended her 22-year-old brother, Tochukwu. Both suspects admitted to committing the crime.

Police operatives have since recovered the stolen iPhones and a sum of N6.5m from the suspects.
“The complainant alleged that his girlfriend, one Emmanuella Ogochukwu “f” 25 years old, conspired with her brother and his friends to rob him of three iPhones and bitcoins worth about 15 million Naira.
“Upon the receipt of the casefile and following the confessional statement of Emmanuella Ogochukwu “f,” one Ogbuka Tochukwu “m,” 22 years old, a younger brother to Emmanuella Ogochukwu “f,” was trailed and arrested by the operatives of the Command. Both of them confessed to the crime,” the report shared by the spokesperson of the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, read.

The recovered items have been registered as evidence, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining members of the gang.

“All the complainant’s robbed phones and the sum of N6.5m were recovered and have been registered with the exhibit keeper.

“Investigation is still ongoing to arrest the other wanted members of the gang. Further development will be communicated to you,” the report added.
