A young Russian couple who runs a cryptocurrency business was kidnapped and later released in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo after paying a ransom 43 thousand dollars in digital currency.

The incident occurred on Friday night in a building on the street Ravignani 1596, at the intersection with Gorriti. According to investigation sources a TN, the couple had been invited to dinner by two Chechens who occupied a first-floor apartment.

The suspects fled Argentina
|

After identifying the main suspects, the Argentine Federal Police (PFA) confirmed that both escaped from the country by plane during the hours after the incident: they had taken a flight that departed from Ezeiza heading to the Arab Emirates. Both already have a red alert Interpol.
