In Odessa, a criminal will be tried who deceived a "cryptocurrency buyer," then, together with accomplices, beat him and robbed him of 1.5 million UAH. The accomplices are still being sought.
According to the investigation, in January 2018, the criminals rented an apartment on General Petrova Street in Odessa for a short term and arranged a meeting with a potential client to buy and sell electronic currency.
The prospective buyer, unaware of any danger, came to the meeting. Afterwards, the assailant and his accomplices beat the man and stole his mobile phone, jewelry, and money.
Through these criminal actions, the robbers caused the citizen damage amounting to nearly 1,500,000 UAH (about 57,000 USD).
